Models have regrets too

I have a very simple opinion on what levels and limits models should be prepared to work to. As long as they are above legal age then they should do whatever they are ‘truly’ comfortable with. I add in the caveat as so many models appear to allow themselves to be talked into work that they are not happy doing.

I love seeing the transformation in models as they gain confidence in themselves through their work and as they mature in the profession, I find it is very positive for them and in such it cheers me as well. Only so many seem at some point to allow themselves to enter scenarios that they are unhappy with, later to find out just how long images remain in circulation and just how small the world can be.

Of course there is no simple answer, I only wish there were, and I sometimes feel that the rise of the Internet and the digital age has made the world smaller and the problem only greater.

LinkedIn

Networking is always a key ingredient to success. While I doubt that http://www.linkedin.com will make me rich anytime soon I do hope it will allow me to stay in touch with colleagues.

FlickR

FlickR certainly isn't the only photo uploading/sharing site but it's the one I like and use. I keep my photos here as well as my web site, this site probably has the most updated work.

Web site update

For someone who designs web sites for a living my personal web site really does suffer from a lack of love. At long last Ben Hill has a new updated site! Of course it only contains a few images, hopefully it won't be too long before I get a chance to add some more.

Introduction

I use this Blog to keep track of all my digital photography stuff. This isn't my only activity, I also have lecturing commitments as well as running a small media & web company with my wife Maja, who is better known for her oil painting and animation. This blog replaces a previous version that somehow seems to have disappeared, I'll try to fill in the old blanks as much as I can but no promises.
